To successfully deliver programs, managers, owners, and executives tasked with the delivery of the program must rely on good cost estimates to make decisions. Construction cost estimators are one of the most important players in project delivery.
Cost estimators establish and control project budgets and help owners and management make informed decisions on their capital programs during the preconstruction stages of the project. During construction, they help manage and control the cost of contract changes. Today, senior cost estimators earn upwards of $150,000 in base annual salary. Estimators can transition into project controls, project and construction management, quantitative risk management within consulting, contracting or in an owner’s organization.
The aim of this course is to provide participants with important cost concepts in construction and project management and provide them with the foundation and skills necessary to become an Architectural and Structural Estimator. At the end of this training, participants will:
